This weekend in Portland, Oregon is Wonder Woman Day V, an all ages benefit and celebration for domestic violence programs such as Bradley Angle and Safe in Hunterdon. This event takes place over at Excalibur Comics and will also be hosted at Comic Fusionin Flemington, New Jersey. Professionals and fans of the even are encouraged to donate art to the even which will then be auctioned off for charity. At the Portland location there will be special guests signings by: Matt Wagner, Ron Randall, Anne Timmons, Rich Ellis, Natalie Nourigat, Dane Ault, Emi Lenox and Steve Dorris. This is an event that we found out about in 2006 and I think it’s such a wonderful event. Lots of great artists paying homage to Wonder Woman, people dressed like their favorite characters, raffle prizes, comic books and it’s a great way to spend the day. I urge everybody reading this to check out the Wonder Woman Day 5 link to contribute art or bid on one of the pieces, it’s for a great cause. Thanks go out to Andy Mangels, Thank you Andy!

Personally I like how it’s the sweet beginning to the Halloween season, no better way to spend a beautiful fall day, cup of coffee, hanging out with really cool people over at Excalibur Comics, lots of incredible art and it’s for a great cause.
